Lenora A. Colaruotolo, L.M.S.W., is uniquely qualified to help people in their own environment, by looking at all the different aspects of their life and culture. She works to ensure personal well-being, prevent crises, and provide counsel to individuals and families to make sure they get the help they need, from the best resources available.

A social worker within the Social Work Division at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Lenora has been providing on-site social work services at Eastman Dental Center and Strong Dental since 2004. Her role includes: case management and advocacy on behalf of pediatric and adult dental patients; oral health promotion within the community; and consultation to other projects regarding oral health disparities. Lenora also provides social work services within a school-based dental clinic in an impoverished neighborhood in Rochester, and has been offering social work and case management services to low-income families.

Lenora completed her social science degree at the University of Rochester, and her employment association with the University dates back to 1975. She then achieved a master's degree in social work at the Greater Rochester Collaborative Program during which she completed fellowship training in adolescent health at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.

She serves as a member of Rochester ABC Head Start Health Services Advisory Committee, an advisory group composed of local health providers to advise in the planning, operation and evaluation of health services in Head Start and Early Head Start programs. Lenora also serves as a member of the Strong Memorial Hospital Child Protective Committee and the Strong Health Care Management Social Work Division Chiefs & Leadership Council. She is an active member of her professional organization, the National Association of Social Workers, and is elected to the New York State Chapter Board of Directors.
