Supporting elementary students with ASD by coaching educators
Not Currently Enrolling
Nickname: SAAGE
Project Period: July 1, 2015 - June 30, 2018
Principal Investigator: Suzannah Iadarola, Ph.D.
Funded by: United States Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)
Students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) often struggle in core areas: social communication and interaction, restricted or repetitive behaviors/restricted interests, academics, and problem behavior. SAAGE seeks to meet the needs of all students in primary school on the autism spectrum through individualized interventions. We are in our development year and have collected input on our proposed intervention. Researchers and educators will implement SAAGE with a few students and adjust the model and materials as needed during the 2016/17 school year.
