Our Team Johanna Stump-Siembor Current Appointment Advanced Practice Nurse, Neurodevelopment & Behavioral Pediatrics, specializing in Developmental Disabilities and infant-toddler development. Overview Ms. Stump is a nationally certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She has been a part of the team in Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics since 2011, where she provides complex medical care and medication management to children with developmental disabilities and provides developmental assessment and anticipatory guidance to families of high risk infants in our Infant Toddler Developmental Program. Prior to her role in Rochester, Ms. Stump worked in Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics and Neurology at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Patient Care Profile Ms. Stump’s approach to patient care is to maximize social, communication, and academic development within the home, school and community. She works with preschool through adolescent age children and families. She often sees children to follow up after a new diagnosis such as Autism spectrum Disorder. She assists families with understanding the diagnosis, screens for common health problems, and helps families with understanding and implementing treatment recommendations. She is a thorough clinician who individualizes care to best meet patient and family needs. In the Infant and Toddler Developmental Program, Ms. Stump sees young children who are at higher risk for developmental delays due to prematurity or other health problems during infancy. She provides developmental assessment as well as monitoring of health, well-being, and family functioning. She makes suggestions on daily activities to promote healthy development, and helps families get additional supports through Early Intervention or other programs when needed.
