My Early Arrival Baby Journal (100) Having an infant born early turns the parents' world upside down. Instead of bringing their infant home, their infant needs to stay in a temporary home away from home- the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Staff encourage parents to participate in as many typical parenting activities as possible during this time like holding their baby, changing diapers and eventually feeding. My Early Arrival Baby Journal is similar in many ways to a traditional baby book. There are journaling pages and plenty of space to attach photos that mark the first twelve months of life. This book, however, also deals with the nuances of caring for premature infants. For example, there is a page to track the progress of a baby's daily weight as well as pages that document the first cuddling experience,. Other pages celebrate the baby's move from a radiant warmer to an isolette, including graduation to an open crib. This item would enhance parent coping skills and the family centered care that we provide. $18 each

Providing this resource would greatly enhance the family centered care we provide to parents in the NICU. $20 each
