Nov. 21, Brockport Beats Brain Tumors, Tuttle North Ice Rink (350 New Campus Drive, Brockport), 7 p.m. Brockport Beats Brain Tumors is a club ice hockey game between Brockport and St. John Fisher College to benefit brain tumor research. Proceeds of the game will be donated to UR Medicine's Pediatric Neurological Research and Development Department. A $3 donation is requested for admission. There will also be raffle prizes available to win, as well as a 50-50 raffle. Every penny from admission and the commemorative program sales from this year's event will support the furnishing of the Teen Lounge in the new Golisano Children's Hospital. Cross-street rivals Nazareth and St. John Fisher battle in men's and women's basketball with all proceeds from ticket sales, prize raffles, and commemorative t-shirt sales benefiting the kids at Golisano Children's Hospital. The game on Jan. 14 will be held at Nazareth's Kidera Gymnasium in the Otto Shults Center, while the Feb. 6 contest will be held at St. John Fisher's Manning and Napier Gymnasium. Come get your groove on from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. at this 70's celebration. The Ugly Disco is a night of fun that features live music, Twister and more.
