Local IHOP Restaurants Flip to Support Kids

IHOPWhat could be better than eating pancakes? Eating free pancakes for a good cause! On Feb. 5, area IHOPs participated in National Pancake Day with the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). Throughout the day, guests filled the restaurants to receive a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes. In exchange for the meal, they were asked to consider making a donation to Golisano Children’s Hospital. Leading up to the pancake celebration, from Jan. 1 to Feb. 5, the locations sold CMNH balloons that also benefited our pediatric patients and decorated the restaurant lobby walls.

“National Pancake Day is a great opportunity for IHOP to give back to its community,” said Jason Hargrave, IHOP District Manager. “The effort and dedication of our staff made this year great and we all look forward to doing it again next year.”

The two Rochester-area locations raised nearly $7,500 for the hospital this year. Golisano Children’s Hospital is grateful for IHOP’s continuous support and the wonderful employees who dedicate their time to helping the region’s only children’s hospital year after year.
