A Celebration of the Life and Work of Caroline Breese Hall, M.D.

Dr. Caroline HallDr. Caroline Hall’s contributions and her devotion to science, clinical care, and teaching helped improve the lives of children, trainees, and colleagues world-wide.

She was known for her work studying viral diseases in children. Her research focused on virology, especially respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), human herpes viruses 6 and 7, and vaccines, which resulted in more than 500 published articles.

"Dr. Hall has long been an international luminary of Pediatric Infectious Disease, a steadfast presence at URMC Pediatrics Grand Rounds, and a fount of information and consultation," said Nina F. Schor, M.D., Ph.D., William H. Eilinger Professor and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics and pediatrician-in chief of Golisano Children's Hospital at URMC. "Her research and publications will undoubtedly continue to inform clinical practice long into the future."

Donate to the Caroline Breese Hall, M.D. Endowment

We are pleased to announce the establishment of the Caroline Breese Hall, M.D. Endowment for  Infectious Diseases.  This endowment will allow Dr. Hall’s name live on in perpetuity and provide a research award to a promising fellow or junior faculty member working in an area of infectious diseases significant for pediatrics.
