Dairy Queen Makes Miracles and Breaks Records

Dairy QueenA second-year partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Dairy Queen did an outstanding job with its fundraising efforts this summer. With two locations, one in Henrietta and the other in Greece, the restaurant chain exceeded its 2013 total by more than $5,000, raising $10,000. CMNH paper balloons covered the walls and Miracle Treat Day, held Aug. 14, brought in lines of costumers looking for a tasty Blizzard, all in support of kids. A third Dairy Queen opened Aug. 25 on Hard Road in Webster and the restaurant managers can’t wait to have it be a part of the fundraising next year. Thank you to everyone who participated in Dairy Queens CMNH campaign, especially the hard-working managers and employees! We look forward to you continuing your fundraising efforts with us and breaking your new goal of $15,000 next year!

Tops Friendly Markets Sees Success with Campaigns

Tops Friendly Markets has been an active supporter of Golisano Children’s Hospital for close to 10 years and continues to be dedicated to helping area children. With a commitment to name the interior of the new building’s Healthy Eating Kitchen and the Play Pod, Tops engages in several fundraising efforts throughout the year. During the summer, the friendly grocery chain raised $32,232 from its CMNH paper balloon sales, a two-week campaign where employees ask customers if they’d like to support the hospital by donating and displaying their name on a balloon. Customers also had the opportunity to enter a contest to win free groceries and gas for a year, just for $1.

After having such a success with the summer CMNH balloon campaign, Tops decided to do it again in the fall. The fall campaign wrapped up Oct. 11 and the winning ticket for the free gas and grocery was drawn at our annual Gala. Thank you to everyone who participated.
