The new Golisano Children's Hospital is full of great places for kids to be to kids. One of the spaces we're most excited about is the new two-story Play Deck that is as beautiful as its gorgeous southern view.

Tantrums, aggression, self-injury and other serious behavior problems are common in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). In the largest-ever clinical trial for autism, a multi-site study that included researchers at the University of Rochester Medical Center showed that a parent training program can help reduce these behaviors.

Every day, the new hospital looks a little less like a construction zone. The big cement barriers and green fencing around the site are down! The construction crew may have jinxed us by putting up that snow fence, and we can see so much more of the grounds!

New hospital, new entrances

It may not seem like a big deal to have a drop-off for our pediatric patients and their families, but it really is going to be a huge benefit. Many of our patients have mobility issues, and while the new hospital isn't far from the Strong Memorial Hospital loop, the new loop is closer and won't be anywhere near as busy.
