CCHP Community Health Policy & Education Director Launches Innovative Course
A new free, online course “Community Engagement in Research and Population Health,” developed Theresa Green, Ph.D., M.B.A., director of Community Health Policy and Education at the Center for Community Health & Prevention (CCHP) and assistant professor of Public Health Sciences at URMC, just launched!

The UR CTSI offers research faculty, staff, trainees and students up to $3,000 to support collaborations with their counterparts at Research Centers in Minority Institutions (RCMI). These centers are part of the RCMI program, supported by the National Center for Minority Health and Health Disparities, which aims to foster the next generation of researchers from underrepresented populations. The University of Rochester, University at Buffalo and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center have joined together to form the Empire Discovery Institute (EDI), a powerful drug discovery partnership that aims to convert the institutions’ scientific breakthroughs into viable pharmaceuticals for commercialization. This not-for-profit institute also strengthens the region as a hub for life sciences research and development.
