Research Centers in Minority Institutions Scholarly Exchange
The UR CTSI collaborates with the URMC Summer Scholars Program to offer research training to students who are underrepresented in the biomedical and health sciences. Undergraduates at institutions that are part of the NIH-supported Research Centers in Minority Institutions (RCMI) program, can apply to the UR CTSI's RCMI Scholarly Exchange to get all of the benefits of the URMC Summer Scholars program - and more.
Empire Discovery Institute
The University of Rochester, University at Buffalo and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center have joined together to form the Empire Discovery Institute (EDI), a powerful drug discovery partnership that aims to convert the institutions’ scientific breakthroughs into viable pharmaceuticals for commercialization. This not-for-profit institute also strengthens the region as a hub for life sciences research and development.

Congratulations to the latest graduates of our Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) Training Program. In the course, community members and University of Rochester faculty, staff, and students learn a collaborative approach to research that involves community members or recipients of health interventions during all phases of the research process and recognizes the unique strengths of each research team member.
