If managing the multiple demands on your time and simply getting through your day has become a challenge, stress management may help. Our Stress Reduction programs help participants handle stressful events in ways that result in more balance, stability, and personal satisfaction.
Our Stress Reduction program aims to help participants better understand their stressors, make plans of action to garner greater support to reduce these stressors, and identify different pathways to change those things that are more difficult to control. Program includes four weekly one-hour group sessions, at a variety of times and locations throughout the year.
Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction
Our Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction program introduces the benefits of thinking differently about stressful situations, learning to live more mindfully with moment-to-moment awareness, and taking time to "be still" through different meditation techniques. Program includes six or eight weekly two-hour group sessions, at a variety of times and locations throughout the year; some sessions include a day-long silent retreat at an area meditation center.
