Clinical Research Center

Welcome to the Clinical Research Center of the University of Rochester Medical Center. We are located in the University of Rochester Medical Center’s G-5035 unit (ground floor) at 601 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, New York. This specialized unit is funded by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences within the National Institutes of Health by a grant to the University (CTSA Grant No. UL1 TR 000042) to support clinical studies. The CRC is a center that provides an optimal setting for medical investigators to conduct safe, controlled, inpatient and outpatient studies of both children and adults. Since 1960, our CRC has been funded to provide the necessary infrastructure for investigators to conduct research studies.

Led by the Program Director, Giovanni Schifito, MD and the Principal Investigator, Thomas A. Pearson, MD, MPH, PhD; the CRC facilities provide the environment and resources for medical research.
