Dr. Malik Named Clinical Director, Orthodontics

Shaima Malik, BDS, MS, (TMJD ’08, GenDen ’11, GPR ’12, Ortho ’14) assistant professor, has been appointed Clinical Director, Orthodontic Department at Eastman Institute for Oral Health.

In her new role, her main focus will be administration and instruction to establish an efficient, clinical environment enhancing resident education and patient care. 

“I am working to advance the Meliora – Ever Better mission to provide access to high quality orthodontic care,” Dr. Malik said. “I will also apply the skills I gained during my master’s program and explore different strategies to enhance resident education and program growth.”

The Orthodontics Department at Eastman Institute for Oral Health strives to ensure its residents are receiving the best quality education and to continue its efforts to maintain a state-of-the‐art program that ranks among the best in the nation.
