Dr. Chochlidakis Awarded for Research

Konstantinos Chochlidakis, DDS, assistant professor at Eastman Institute for Oral Health Prosthodontics Department, was awarded the Glen P. McGivney Scientific Writing Award for Systematic Review.

Dr. Chochlidakis was lead author in the article, “Digital versus conventional impressions for fixed prosthodontics: A systematic review and meta-analysis,” published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry. It was chosen by the Editorial Council Grants and Awards Committee who reviewed all the articles published in the Journal over a one-year time period.

The award is named after Dr. Glen P. McGivney, who was a member of The JPD Editorial Council, and then editor of the JPD from 1991 to 2002. This award was created to recognize and honor Dr McGivney’s extensive contributions to the JPD Editorial Council and to the field of prosthetic dentistry as a whole.

Dr. Chochlidakis received a certificate and $2,500. Other authors included Panos Papaspyridakos, DDS, MS, PhD, Alessandro Geminiani, DDS, MS, Chun-Jung Chen, DDS, MS, I. Jung Feng, MS, and Carlo Ercoli, DDS.
