A passionate advocate for diversity and multicultural inclusion within all aspects of medicine, Dr. Higginbotham will share her wisdom and insights into health disparities and policy. At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to understand the magnitude of the health disparities currently, the framework for considering the social determinants of health, the impact of unconscious bias in healthcare today, and how the teachings of Martin Luther King, Jr., can guide us in finding solutions.

A reception will follow the lecture at 1:00 pm in the LeChase Assembly Hall (G-9576).
