Allergy/Immunology Fellowship Program

Why Choose Our Program?

The Allergy/Immunology Fellowship Training Program at the University of Rochester affords trainees several unique opportunities. At URMC, Allergy/Immunology and Rheumatology are combined in a single division affording fellows the option for combined training in Allergy/Immunology and Rheumatology.  The program draws upon the strengths of the combined division and URMC, which is the home of not only outstanding clinicians but also outstanding scientists, many of whom are national experts in their field.  In addition, URMC has been named a World Allergy Organization Center of Excellence.  As a WAO Center, both the Medical Center and the Division are working to heighten the development and implementation of multi-disciplinary scientific and clinical research, education, and training in allergy, asthma and clinical immunology.  Fellows also are afforded the option for combined training in Allergy/Immunology and Rheumatology.

What Our Fellows are Saying

Jennifer Pier, MD

The allergy program has wonderful and supportive faculty who encourage teaching and participating in scholarly activities. They also understand wellness and work life balance.

There is a great diversity of patients and I have seen many different diagnoses. There is exposure to the different biologics and I am comfortable with prescribing/using them. There is also a great network with other specialties, such as GI, dermatology, ENT, and pulmonology to learn from.
