For the Medicare End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) population, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) launched a bundled prospective payment system for dialysis facilities in 2011. The focus of this research is to provide insight into the impact of the payment reform on health outcomes for ESRD patients receiving hemodialysis. Furthermore, this research will identify facility factors that influence responses to the new payment policy.
