Application Requirements by Program

PhD Application Timeline

For Admission to Fall Semester

• By December 1st  - The $60 application fee is automatically waived
• By December 15th - Complete application due ($60 application fee applies)
• After December 15th - applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until January 1, at each program’s discretion. For a list of programs that will consider applications until January 1, please check here.
• December - January - Interviews scheduled
• February - Interviews held
• February - March - Offer of admission notices mailed after interviews
• By April 15 - Responses due for offer of admission
• August 1 - Online application opens
• September - Fall semester begins

Certificate Program Application Timeline

For Admission to Fall Semester

• By May 1 - Complete application due
• May-June 1 - Offer of admission notices mailed
• By July 1 - Responses due for offers of admission
• September - Fall semester begins

For Admission to Spring Semester

• By November 1 - Complete application due
• November-December 1 - Offer of admission notices mailed
• By December 15 - Responses due for offers of admission
• January - Spring Semester Begins

Summer Scholars Application Timeline

• By February 28 - Complete application due
• March - April - Offer of admission notices sent. Responses due within 2 weeks of offer.
• Program runs 10 weeks of summer typically beginning the day after Memorial Day annually

PREP Program Application Timeline

For Admission to Fall Semester

• By May 1 - Complete application due​
• May-June  - Offer of admission notices sent. Responses due within 2 weeks of offer.
• Program runs 12 months typically beginning July 5 annually
