The Schmitt Program on Integrative Brain Research
The Schmitt Program on Integrative Brain Research (SPIBR) is a campus-wide initiative to promote our understanding of the nervous system and its disorders. The program is intended to catalyze and promote new directions of neuroscience research within the three target areas of Learning; Plasticity and Memory; the Senses and Behavior; and the Neurobiology of Aging and Disease.
The Schmitt Program supports summer research scholarships for college undergraduates who are interested in pursuing Ph.D. graduate programs in neuroscience. It is linked with the Summer Undergraduate Research Program and helps to provide funding for students who indicate an interest in Neuroscience. Students from the University of Rochester are encouraged to apply, with options to continue research part-time into the following year(s).
Strong Children's Research Center Summer Training Program
