Postdoc Position in the Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology at the University of R
Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral associate to work in the field of brain imaging and computational neuroscience. The ideal candidate is expected to develop state of the art statistical and machine learning methods to understand complex neuronal mechanisms behind normal aging and neurodegenerative diseases. The position will be held in the Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology. The main research areas will include: (1) statistical brain imaging analysis; (2) data integration; (3) network analysis; and (4) functional and shape data analysis. The candidate will also have opportunities to participate in research protocol design and data collection related to monitoring cognitive aging and dementia.
The candidate should hold a doctoral degree in a quantitative field, such as statistics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, mathematics or physics, with interest in imaging data analysis, functional and shape data analysis. Candidates with strong computational skills (proficient in one of the programming languages, C/C++, Python, R and Matlab) are especially encouraged to apply.
