Postdoctoral Position in Redmond Lab

An NIH funded postdoctoral position is available in the Vascular Biology research laboratory of Dr. Eileen M. Redmond at the University of Rochester Medical Center. This laboratory, within the Surgery Research Division, investigates the cardiovascular system as a biological target for alcohol using a combination of cell culture and mouse models. Current projects are focused on Notch and Hedgehog signaling.

Candidates should have recently earned a PhD or MD/PhD degree(s) and have a strong background in molecular and cellular biology. Experience with cell culture (various vascular, and progenitor stem cells), immunocytochemistry/confocal microscopy and biochemical analyses is desirable. Experience with small animal surgery is a plus. Excellent communication skills and fluency in oral and written English is required.
