Postdoctoral Researcher Position
Postdoctoral researcher position funded by NIH grant and University startup is available to study the biophysical properties of ion channels. We will be investigating structure-function relationships in glutamate receptors and acid sensing ion channels using a combination of electrophysiology with fast perfusion, kinetic modelling, fluorescence spectroscopy and structural biological techniques. We are looking for someone enthusiastic, internally motivated and with expertise in electrophysiology, fluorescence spectroscopy or cryo-EM. Experience with single channel recording and analysis is preferred.
PhD in Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Physiology or other related field
Expertise in one of the following is required
- Patch clamp electrophysiological,
- Fluorescence spectroscopy
- Membrane protein purification/cryo-EM.
Interested candidates should send the CV and names of three references to Dr. David MacLean. Position will remain open until filled. University of Rochester Medical Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer for females, minorities, individuals with disabilities and protected veterans
