wojtovich lab postdoc research position

A post-doctoral fellowship is available at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) in the laboratory of Dr. Andrew Wojtovich. The project is funded by a grant from the US National Institutes of Health and will study the roles of Reactive Oxygen Species in mitochondrial physiology and stress signaling using optogenetic approaches. The laboratory uses a broad range of methodologies that offers the opportunity for training in multiple disciplines.
The ideal candidate has a background in biochemistry, physiology, genetics, neurobiology or related field. Research experience with C. elegans and/or mitochondria is preferred. Candidates are required to have at least one first author publication and be independently motivated with excellent written and oral communication skills.
