Two postdoctoral researcher positions funded by NIH grants and University startup are available in the laboratory of Dr. Tingting Yang to study the structure and function of ion channels, and human diseases caused by mutation/dysfunction of ion channels. The Yang lab employs a wide variety of powerful experimental approaches including electrophysiological recordings, confocal imaging, CRSIPR/Cas9-mediated genome editing, X-ray crystallography and cryo-EM.
- PhD in Physiology, Biophysics, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology or other related field or MD
- 2 years of relevant experience in research environment is required
- Expertise in one of the following is required
- patch clamp recording
- planar lipid bilayer
- CRSIPR/Cas9-mediated genome editing
- stem cell biology
- protein purification.
