URMC / Flaum Eye Institute / Angle Surgery / People People Shakeel Shareef, MD Dr. Shareef is an Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Flaum Eye Institute. He is a graduate of New York Medical College where he also completed his residency in ophthalmology. After residency, he completed two fellowships at Washington University School of Medicine: the first in glaucoma research in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science and a clinical fellowship in glaucoma at Barnes Hospital. Dr. Shareef is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is also a member of the American Glaucoma Society, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and a reviewer for Ophthalmology. Rachel Hollar, BS, CRA, OCT-C Rachel received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Photographic Communications from Rochester Institute of Technology. She is a Certified Retinal Angiographer and is also certified in Optical Coherence Tomography. Rachel supports Faculty, Staff, Residents and RIT education providing special imaging for teaching cases and the creation of video or mixed media for presentations. Rachel's Professional Achievements are numerous, and include a First Place award for Gonio Photography at the OPS Annual Scientific Exhibit in 2014.
