CHeT leads a number of regional, national, and global initiatives that reach a wide range of stakeholders including patients, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, advocates, and policymakers. These initiatives seeks to educate and care for patients, provide training to improve outcomes, advance knowledge, and address critical concerns.

Educating + caring for patients

Parkinson's Disease Care NEW YORKParkinson's Disease Care NEW YORK 

A program that expands access to care across the state of New York. For the first time, anyone in a defined geographic area (New York State) with a defined condition (Parkinson’s disease) can receive a virtual house call regardless of their ability to pay.

ParkinsonTV

An educational TV series bringing together neurologists, patients, and topic experts to discuss different aspects of living with Parkinson’s and ways to maximize quality of life. Season 1 topics include exercise, medication, nutrition, speech therapy, adaptive equipment, and advanced therapeutics.

Training multidisciplinary clinicians

ParkinsonNet training

A specialized Parkinson disease training course for occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech language pathologists from across New York State. A unique opportunity in partnership with internationally known neurologist, Dr. Bastiaan Bloem, and his ParkinsonNet team from the Netherlands.

A national forum for health care, tech and policy leaders to share disruptive technological and process innovations to enable successful aging. Speakers have included Dr. David Blumenthal, Senator Tom Daschle, Senator Bob Kerrey, Dr. Stephen Friend (Apple, Sage Bionetworks), and Dr. Todd Sherer (Michael J.
