Highland Named An Aetna Institute of Quality®

Friday, April 26, 2013

Highland Hospital has been designated an Aetna Institute of Quality® Orthopedic Care Facility for total hip and knee replacement.

Aetna makes information about the quality and cost of health care services available to its members to help them make informed decisions about their health care needs. In line with this goal, Aetna recognizes hospitals and facilities in its network that offer specialized clinical services for certain health conditions. Facilities are selected for consistently delivering evidence-based, safe care.

The Evarts Joint Center, which opened at Highland in 2004, is certified by the Joint Commission in hip and knee replacement. The Evarts Joint team includes a network of orthopaedists, anesthesiologists, geriatricians, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, social workers and occupational therapists. The interdisciplinary team works to meet the unique needs of each joint patient. For more information, visit www.joint.urmc.edu.
