Highland Hospital’s 10th Annual Gala is April 16

Vintage-themed evening to include entertainment from musical group The Bettys

Monday, January 11, 2016

Highland Hospital’s 2016 Gala will be held Saturday, April 16 at 6 p.m. at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center. Funds raised will support the hospital’s efforts to modernize its facilities and improve patient care for our community.

This year’s gala is themed with 30’s & 40’s décor, sounds, flavors, and both elements of romance and James Bond type intrigue.  It will feature the vintage harmonies of The Bettys, a Toronto-based musical group that sings today’s top hits in a 30s and 40s style. The Bettys will set the tone for the night with three singers and a seven piece band. In addition to musical entertainment, guests will enjoy craft cocktails, an auction, dinner and dancing.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Highland Hospital’s Master Facilities plan. Currently, the hospital is in the process of building a $28 million two-story addition which will include six new state-of-the-art operating rooms and a 26-bed observation unit. The project will improve patient care by modernizing and expanding the hospital’s perioperative area, creating a dedicated space for observation patients and increasing the number of private rooms on inpatient units.
