Highland Hospital Hosts Free Workshop for Family Members of People with Alzheimer’s Disease

Highland Hospital is holding a free workshop called “Skills for Survival: Caregiving & Alzheimer’s Disease” on Wednesday, December 7 at 5:30 p.m. in the Collins Auditorium at Highland Hospital.
Alzheimer’s Disease can be a devastating diagnosis for any individual and has a big impact on their family as well. More than 5 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer’s Disease according to the Alzheimer’s Association. This workshop is aimed at helping family members cope with this diagnosis. Barb Schrage, MS, RN, FNP-BC, Geriatric Advanced Practice Nurse, and Michael Sullivan, LCSW-R, Director of Social Work, will both be on hand to discuss the tools that are available for care takers and answer any questions they may have.
