Highland Welcomes Dr. Jennifer Muniak to Geriatrics Group

Most recently, Dr. Muniak completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Rochester, serving as Practice Chief for the Internal Medicine Resident Clinic from 2011-13.
“I am interested in treating older people because they are some of the most complex patients,” says Dr. Muniak, adding that she enjoys incorporating families in patient care and focusing on the psycho-social aspects of medicine.
She earned her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Rochester with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and a minor in music.
Dr. Muniak also volunteers at Rochester Animal Services. In 2010, she earned the Community Service Award from the Medical Society of the State of New York.
