A Minimally Invasive Approach to Hip Replacement

anterior approach

The anterior approach is an innovative and minimally invasive procedure that can offer several advantages for patients who qualify for this approach.

Potential Benefits of the Anterior Approach:
  • Less trauma to the body
  • Smaller incision
  • Potentially less pain
  • Less tissue disruption, may lead to faster rehabilitation
  • Fewer restrictions during recovery

Highland Hospital is the only hospital in the region offering the anterior approach to hip replacement, an alternative approach which can minimize damage to tissue and may offer faster recovery for patients who qualify for this approach.
