Upholding the Highland Promise in Everything We Do

Our entire team of professional nurses at Highland Hospital is committed to providing patients with life-affirming experiences and positive health care outcomes. This is the Highland Promise to Medicine of the Highest Order , and it’s what we strive for each and every day.

Patient safety and quality of care are our priorities. We have formal processes in place that enable all of our nurses to stay current with advancements in patient care, education and state-of-the-art technologies. This will keep us on the path of continuous improvement.

Highland Hospital also works in partnership with organizations such as The Joint Commission, the  Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services, the  New York State Department of Health and others to implement, monitor and report on safety and quality of patient care.  We track quality measures and compare them to national and state data. Quality “indicators” are considered the best measures for determining whether or not you, as our patient, will receive quality care for your medical condition.

We're proud to share our quality measures with you. To learn more about our high standards of care at Highland Hospital, please visit our Quality of Care website.
