Drill on May 1 and Saturday Work 4/29

The job site will be shut down until noon on Monday, May 1st for the Active Shooter drill. There might be a few construction workers on site following the drill in the afternoon. See previous posts for more details on the drill.

Crews will be on site this Saturday, 4/29 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. potentially working on the fiber cement panel siding and roofing, depending on the weather.

During the week, crews will be using the swing stage scaffolding and boom lifts to install roofing and the cement panels on the sides of the building. Site work is also being done in preparation for installing the storm sewer and foundations. Fill is being brought in that will be used to bring the site up to grade.

Crews are anticipating bringing the site work up to grade fully by mid-May to allow for settlement since we cannot utilize vibratory compaction. This will generate minimal vibrations due to bulldozer movement, static roller and dump truck tailgates closing. Vibration monitoring is in place and all vibrations to date have been within what is considered to be normal range.
