Saturday Work 3/26

Crews will be on site this Saturday, 3/26 from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. fireproofing the 5th and 6th floors as well as installing framing and layout inside the shrink wrapped new tower.

During the week, the tower crane will be operating with roofing and other activities on site. Crews will also be putting in the layout on the 6th and 7th floor including installation of the top track and fire proofing structural members on the 4th, 5th  and 6th floors. They will also be doing interior and exterior framing on the 1st, 2nd and 5th floors. Swing stage scaffolding is installed on the east side and will be working their way around to the north side. A buck hoist (temporary exterior elevator) will be installed on the south side exterior of the new tower. 8th floor concrete curbs are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday or Wednesday, March 29th or March 30th starting at 7 a.m.

Please keep in mind the concrete pour tentatively scheduled for next week will have the concrete pump on the south side of the new tower (engine running the during the entire pour), 2 concrete trucks rotating in and out at the concrete pump, and 1 concrete truck washing out.  Crews will be in constant communication with the batch plant adjusting truck spacing depending on how the pour is progressing.

There will be a flag person at the South Avenue entrance backing in the concrete trucks and prioritizing ambulance access.
