Saturday Work 9/11

Crews will be working on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. drilling and cutting into foundation walls on the south side of the building. An all-terrain fork lift will be used to perform this work along with a concrete saw and a generator. There will be no tower crane operations.

Deep foundation, pile cap and grade beam installation is ongoing and will continue through mid-September. Excavation and grading work is happening at the same time as the deep foundation installations.

Construction of the ramped section of the South Access Drive to connect to Mt. Vernon is anticipated to start in mid-September. Fill material will be placed in “lifts” and compacted until the final grade height is reached.

The Tower Crane will be operating to install the structural steel.

Micro Pile installation has resumed for a week or so to compete the balance of the piles. This will include excavations for the shoring being installed with micro piles.

Typical levels of construction noise and vibrations are expected with all of these activities. For the deep foundation work, any possible vibrations will be monitored by a third party testing agency.
