Choosing a Provider

How do you choose the kind of provider you want for your pregnancy and delivery? Here is a simple guide to help you understand what each will provide.

An Obstetrician has completed up to twelve years of medical training to become certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He or she provides routine check-ups and prenatal care, and assists in the delivery of the baby. Obstetricians see the delivery of a child as a clinical medical procedure that should be performed in a hospital. Should any complications arise, an Obstetrician can perform a Cesarean section or address any other issues immediately.
