Jason Pacos, M.D. Named Highland Chief of Cardiology
Highland Hospital announces the appointment of Jason D. Pacos, M.D, as Highland Chief of Cardiology. Dr. Pacos previously served as Associate Chief and has served UR Medicine in roles since 2010 as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine, Medical Director of Highland Cardiology Echocardiographic Laboratory, and Cardiology Attending in the Strong Memorial Hospital Cardiovascular ICU.
“Dr. Pacos was the first physician I recruited once I started at Highland and has been a cornerstone of our group,” said J. Chad Teeters, M.D., M.B.A., M.S., FACC, Executive Medical Director, Accountable Health Partners, Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine, UR Heart and Vascular who recently stepped down from the role of chief. “He has always been a well-respected provider and has progressively taken a more active role in leadership of our division. I have no doubt that Jason will enhance and continue to grow Highland Cardiology to new heights and I look forward to his tenure as chief.”
Dr. Pacos earned his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Buffalo School of Medicine and did his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He also completed a cardiology fellowship at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Adult Cardiovascular Disease, Comprehensive Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology.
