Back to the Future

As you have seen in recent emails we are cautiously starting to ease up on some visiting restrictions and testing requirements that have been in place due to the pandemic. We will continue to monitor the prevalence of COVID-19 variants in our community and keep adjusting our policies and procedures accordingly. We are by no means rid of COVID, but the variants are proving to be less ominous, especially for those who have been vaccinated.  We have learned so much during the past two years. We have faced this unimaginable enemy with fortitude, and we must continue.

Our health care workers are exhausted. Some have even chosen to step away from their professions, but we hope that with a little time and space we will see them again. We also have new residents, nurses and other health care professionals who have chosen these careers despite the challenges. We will continue to nurture and mentor them to the best of our abilities.

It was wonderful to see so many of you at our recent physician event that honored the 2021 Physician and APP of the Year, retirees and chiefs who were stepping down after many years of dedicated service. I look forward to more in person encounters in the future.
