This Continuing Medical Education activity provides a forum for surgeons, and those who care for surgical patients to gather and discuss the latest treatments, management strategies and challenges in the field of surgery.
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

Discuss management strategies for the injured bile duct.

Discuss benchmarking and quality measurement and how they can affect surgeons and patient outcomes.
Explain strategies for optimizing care when treating the aging surgical patient.
Identify the challenges in hepatic surgery, and describe the surgical anatomy of the liver and treatment of benign and malignant lesions.
Formulate current treatment strategies for complicated appendicitis.
Discuss current diagnostic and treatment approaches to breast cancer.
Discuss recent important landmark evidence based literature from various surgical specialties, including breast, oncology, thoracic, colorectal and other specialties.
