Sharepoint 2010 Upgrade

The ISD Web Services Team will upgrade all SharePoint 2007 sites to SharePoint 2010 beginning in January 2015. Sites will be upgraded individually—one at a time—through the end of May. This upgrade is necessary as the 2007 sites are running on a server that will no longer be supported by Microsoft.
Who Does this Affect?
This applies to all site Administrators and all SharePoint users.
Site Administrators
Site Administrators will receive communications from ISD Web Services prior to the upgrade to coordinate activities before and after the upgrade occurs. Note: After the upgrade occurs, you’ll have a period of time to review and test the 2010 site before the 2007 site is shut down.
What Do I Need to Do?
SharePoint users will need to update their bookmarks in their browsers after the upgrade occurs. Any URMC Intranet site owners who have links to SharePoint on their pages will need to update the URLs after the site is upgraded.
