Our nurses are the best!
Because of the unique challenges presented by a rural setting, Jones Memorial Hospital has taken a multidimensional approach to retention and recruitment of our professional staff. In addition to a fair and competitive compensation package for the new nurses, the hospital also has a preceptorship program for orientation.
The nursing staff is also encouraged to participate in the clinical ladder program for RNs. The Hospital encourages and financially supports certifications in the nurses specialty area, Advanced Certified Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Neo-natal Advanced Life Support certifications, as well as continuing education. Several nursing units offer 12 hour shift scheduling and other flexible scheduling options. Many members of the nursing department are currently enrolled in continuing education programs.
Jones Memorial's Inservice Education Program also includes on-site and off-site continuing education opportunities. For more information, contact the Inservice Department.
