Course Description: From single molecule motors transporting materials within cells to contracting muscle fibers, molecular engines come in a range of sizes and produce some of the most fascinating phenomena in biology. This course teaches the modern theories behind molecular engines, presuming only an elementary background in cell biology and mechanics. Prerequisites: permission of instructor.
