Postdoctoral position available.
NIH funded postdoctoral fellowship position is available to study Tissue Homeostasis and Regeneration in salivary and lacrimal gland. Current research projects include: the molecular and cellular basis of radiation damage and radioprotective strategies for the salivary glands; development of a bioengineered tissue chip for in vitro drug screening of salivary gland cells; mechanisms of aging and senescence in the glands; and cell-based therapies for salivary gland dysfunction. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and/or an M.D. degree, and have less than five years postdoctoral experience. Preference will be given to individuals with expertise in genetics, animal models, stem cells, developmental biology, and molecular biology.
