Molecular Mechanisms of Inflammatory Bone Diseases

Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a prevalent musculoskeletal disorder which develops in up to 30% of patients with psoriasis and is associated with several co-morbidities that increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. Currently there is no diagnostic test for PsA and no identified biomarkers to predict the risk of developing arthritis once psoriasis is present. Defining such markers would be instrumental in earlier and more accurate diagnosis and treatment.
