Lytic and Latent Replication of Gammaherpesviruses (EBV and KSHV)

Land and Linehan

Herpes lytic and latent replication.

Gammaherpesviruses (EBV and KSHV) are key viral determinants of AIDS-related malignancy. Our earlier proteomic studies identified a set of key host factors that involve in lytic and latent replication of gammaherpesviruses (EBV and KSHV), including TIP60. We are currently investigating how TIP60 coordinately regulates the lytic and latent replication of gammaherpesviruses (EBV and KSHV) as well as host gene expression through chromatin modification and DNA damage response. We are also interested in identifying host-virus protein interactions for gammaherpesviruses (EBV and KSHV) that dominate transition of viral latency and reactivation.
