Special Instructions: WiFi is necessary to download new items sync with desktop version of the app. Can pair with and sync between Papers application on a Mac. Designed for Articles from bibliographic databases.
Tasks or Searches Tested: Open a document from Bb application Creating a collection Moving documents to collection Reading a document Search PubMed for "rosacea", opens Science Direct fulltext, was able to import to Papers
Design: Organize documents into Collections.
Functionality: Papers allows you to store, read, and annotate PDF files, or "research papers". You can import from Dropbox or iDisk. You can open PDF files from other applications in Papers, look for the "Open In..." option. While reading a paper can annotate with notes, highlights and make bookmarks Can add additional metadata by editing publication data
Content: The Content is what you place into the app
Other Comments: This is akin to GoodReader, but meant more specifically for journal articles. Wasn't sure why I got the article at no cost
