Miner Library's expert staff is committed to providing resources to you. Interlibrary Loan service is available Monday - Friday.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We will get through this together!

Miner Interlibrary Loan

Book requests

We will do our best to find an electronic version for any book requests. As COVID-19 closures and stay-at-home directives have taken place across the country, the interlibrary loan staff at most libraries are working remotely limiting the ability to lend print books.

Other options:

  • We may be able to get a few chapters from the book. We can often send you the table of contents, so you can select the chapters that would be useful. When placing the request, select the book chapter option. Please submit a separate request for each chapter.
  • Our liaison librarians are also available to assist you with finding an alternative ebook resource.
  • We can hold the request until libraries have reopened and we are able to obtain a physical copy.

Journal articles and book chapters from Miner Library's print collection

We have limited access to the Miner print journals and books. We are still processing and filling requests for journal articles and book chapters from the Miner Library print collection, but it may take a little longer than our normal 24-hour turnaround time.

ILL books on loan to you

We are working to extend due dates on ILL loans. If you currently have an ILL book, we ask that you hold on to it until Miner Library reopens. If you are leaving Rochester and will not be returning to the area, please contact us at for more information about returning the book.
