Clinical Endocrinology Conference (weekly)
Held every Friday morning, during this conference a specific patient is presented followed by an in depth presentation and discussion of the patient’s disease process. The relevant literature is reviewed and patient management strategies discussed. A fellow / attending present a case once per week. Physicians and providers from throughout the Rochester area attend and present at this CME-sponsored conference.

Didactic Friday Conference (weekly)
With lunch provided every Friday at noon, over the course of 2 years, speakers from the endocrine division or other departments cover a curriculum that covers the spectrum of Endocrinology. Each year starts with Endocrine Emergencies and Insulin Pump education so that incoming Fellows are comfortable with common scenarios that they will fact during the upcoming year. This conference also covers some Endocrinology basic science and pharmacology, as well as ethical issues.

Board Review Course (bi-weekly)
Held every other week, this interactive session helps prepare fellows for the Endocrine Boards. Board questions are given and discussed, and Fellows participate in a National In-Service exam to test their skills and compare them to their colleagues throughout the country.

Thyroid/Endocrine Tumor Conference (monthly)
During this conference, selected cases are presented and discussed by endocrinologists, endocrine surgeons, ENT surgeons, pathologists and nuclear medicine faculty and fellows. This conference is part of the Head and Neck Cancer Service Line, and serves as their Thyroid Tumor Board.

Endocrine Research Conference (monthly)
With dinner served, this late afternoon conference serves as a vehicle for fellows and faculty to learn about research being done in the Division of Endocrinology, as well as some work being performed by researchers outside of the Division who are doing Endocrine-related research. Graduating fellows also present their research late in their final year.

Endocrinology Journal Club (monthly)
During this conference recent articles from the endocrine literature (non-diabetes) are reviewed. Particular emphasis is placed on articles that stress mechanisms of a disease or a basic biologic process. Both clinical and basic science topics are reviewed. Fellows are paired with a faculty advisor, who aids in article choice and is available for questions.

This late afternoon journal club (that includes dinner) serves as a city-wide conference that covers 3-4 recent articles in diabetes care or research. Articles are presented by fellows with faculty serving as secondary presenters.

Held the second Friday of every month, Endocrine Grand Rounds features internationally recognized scientists and physicians from all over the country.
