The third annual Crush Cancer Concert, held in memory of Hannah Metzler, a UR Medicine Golisano Children’s Hospital patient, will kick off at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at the Fairport High School auditorium.
A constellation of technological advances helped UR Medicine-led heart specialists save the life of an aging Brighton woman. They used a three-dimensional (3D) print of her heart along with a non-surgical technique to safely replace a failing heart valve.
Lawrence N. and Rita R. Chessin, whose ties with the University of Rochester date back to 1954, have committed $1.5 million to support an endowed professorship in infectious diseases at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
