‘Strong Women’ Series Continues at JCC

Friday, March 24, 2006

Pregnant women and their partners can learn more about pregnancy and get answers to their questions during a presentation Thursday, March 30, 7:30 to 9 p.m., as the Jewish Community Center and Strong Health Women’s Services seminar series continues at the JCC, 1200 Edgewood Avenue in Rochester.

“What to Expect During Pregnancy: Questions You Always Wanted to Ask” will feature a physician and a genetic specialist offering information to women at any stage of pregnancy. Speakers will be Eva K. Pressman, M.D., director of maternal-fetal medicine and associate professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Jeanne Peterson, genetic counselor, at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Pressman will give an overview and discuss new technologies and managements used during pregnancy, and Peterson will present approaches to prenatal genetics, followed by a question-and-answer session.

The women’s health education series is offered for free to JCC members and for $5 per session for non-members. Registration is required as space is limited. To register, please call 461-2000.

Next up in the series will be Aging Successfully, May 4.
